Spreading the healing benefits of osteopathy and helping business practitioners thrive

Having worked with tens of thousands of clients over the years, we have seen the life-changing advantages of osteopathy and how it continues to enhance the face of healthcare beyond just alternative care.

Spreading the benefits of osteopathy is something we have always been deeply connected to but we could only treat a limited amount of clients through our clinic. 

Training other osteopaths to build their own thriving businesses reminded us of the many challenges they are up against. 

Unfortunately, many practitioners struggle to build a successful practice from a lack of business know-how that isn’t part of their osteopathic education. To guide other osteopaths to become leaders in their communities and champion osteopathy, we knew we had to devote ourselves to sharing our stories, our skills, and our commitment.

We created AMO, the Advanced Mentorship for Osteopaths, to help osteopaths build a practice with a solid foundation based on grounded strategies and procedures that will provide consistent growth and sustainability. Ultimately, this will allow more people worldwide to experience running a business with purpose and benefits of osteopathic care.

Before Kevin’s feet hit the ground in the morning, he’s already run through his daily routine of meditation, heart-coherence grounding, and future-casting his day. Next, come family hugs and a massive locally-brewed black coffee. This prankster needs his fuel to keep his colleagues on their toes. 

Providing clarity on the importance of mind-body connection for success is Kevin's forte. 

Both as an osteopath and as a mentor, he strives to find the cause of a person's pain and limiting beliefs to empower his clients and other osteopaths to achieve their full potential. Kevin guides you to shift your focus and alignment on your true vision and purpose, reminding you that mindset plays a critical role in your healing, well-being, and building a thriving business you’re excited to walk into every day.  

After building a successful practice with his business partner, Jason, along with Sean, his Vitality colleague, they launched “The Osteo Connection” podcast and AMO (the Advanced Mentorship for Osteopaths), both aimed at mentoring osteopaths to build their practice fuller, faster to find freedom on their own terms.

WHY WE FEAR KEVIN

Kevin once used a TRX strap to fasten the handle of the office door where the AMO team was meeting. Huddled around a card table, we knew something was up when Kevin giggled through the tiny office window before leaving for the weekend. After attempting to open the office door, we realized that we were trapped. That tiny window was our only escape! Luckily we were rescued by our amazing office manager Jennifer before any of us had to sausage our way out.  Never ever trust Kevin within a few feet from TRX equipment.

Jason Turnbull

MONEY GUY + EASY BREEZY PERFECTIONIST

Jason first met Kevin in university when they noticed they were wearing the same Tommy Hilfiger striped polo shirt at a party, how embarrassing! This bonding experience was the spark that eventually led to the birth of Vitality Therapy, their thriving multitherapy clinic in Quebec, Canada.

The first thing you'll notice when meeting Jason is how empathetic and fully present he is to his patients, our students and mentees. 

His genuine attention makes it easy to fall in love with the side of business most osteopaths run from, like budgets, growth charts, forecasting and KPIs. The way Jason simplified this process is incredible. Before long, our students see themselves as business people as well as osteopaths. They are in control of their future success and KNOW that they can achieve a waiting-list practice of their own.

Growing up on a hobby farm in Perth Ontario, Jason now lives in the big city of Beaconsfield, Quebec with his wife (and figure skating partner), sons, daughter, and their pug named Chloe.

WHY WE TEASE JASON

Jason may or may not be the loudest keyboard typist we have ever met. In meetings, while brainstorming new experiences for our students and mentees, everything comes to a grinding halt when Jason starts taking notes. Not quite like nails on a chalkboard, more like “for the love of sweet baby cheeses can someone take Jay’s laptop away from him!”

Dr. Sean Landry

MARKETING GUY + COOKIE MONSTER 

Sean was hooked on chiropractic when he messed up his back as a teen playing hockey and was inspired by a visit with a chiropractor. With this doctor’s healing help, Sean was recruited by a school in Atlanta on a hockey scholarship winning 2 national championships while earning his degree.

As a Chiropractor for 18 years and a business mentor, Sean helps Osteopaths and other healing arts practitioners build their practice and make a huge impact in their communities through modern marketing, simple systems, and authentic connection. 

He’s excelled at helping his students showcase, market, and advertise their authentic brands using networking, public speaking, and social media. Sean’s best known for guiding his students through the weeds and outlining a clear path so they feel confident and creative.  

Throughout the day, you can find Sean wrestling with his boys, cooking with his wife (a glass of red in hand), playing guitar, learning to juggle, lifting weights in his garage gym, reading books, listening to podcasts, paddling his surfboard and figuring out how to be a kid forever.

WHY WE LOVE SEAN

Sean’s the loudest voice and the biggest smile in the room, cheering everyone on and excited by every new project. He loves the camera and interacting online with our students, watching them grow into their potential. Sean’s also the guy you can’t trust around sweets, especially cookies! Maybe that’s where he gets all his energy!

Lisa McKenzie

BUSINESS STRATEGIST + ALCHEMIST 

Lisa has an insatiable drive to bring more light to the world by identifying genius and transforming it into solutions. 

She’s a wizard in business development and marketing, a nerd when it comes to helping us share our message, and obsesses over guiding others on how to develop their businesses doing what they love without it taking over their lives.

Lisa’s the person who helps companies multiply their revenue but make no mistake, she’s carrying an amethyst in her back pocket. She’s hardcore but spiritually guided.

As a Mom of GenZs, she’s able to listen and respond to several conversations at once, which comes in handy when leading the team.

Stephanie Gafoor

COMMUNITY BUSINESS MANAGER + ASSISTANT PRANKSTER

Steph is our community go-to gal, the behind-the-scenes maestro making sure our students have all the resources they need to succeed. She also manages all the moving pieces of our podcast and always makes us sound great.

Steph is our grounding anchor, holding the fort down and giving us more time and headspace to create the next amazing client experience.

After years of being on the receiving end of way too many practical jokes, Steph has since graduated to assistant prankster under the tutelage of Mr. Longpré.
